Instagram post 2321218593238527144_2403080229 From a quiet corner of Cape Cod,
a prayer waits in an empty street,
for justice.
for equality.
for humanity.
for peace.

Instagram post 2292596980251211424_2403080229 Watching the Bruins win the Cup in 2011 brought me so much joy but I’d have to say watching Game 7 encore on NESN while listening to the team recap live and reconnect is an unexpected and so much needed joy right now! What a rare insight into these athletes lives and memories. They are and always will be a family to each other and to the fans and they remind us why we miss it so much!! As terrible as this pandemic is, we are finding new ways to reconnect and express our appreciation for each other. Thank you @nhlbruins @nesn ❤️ #bruins #nhl #stanleycup #nhlbruins #nesn #lockerroomtimemachine #watchwithabruin #bostonbruins @zoom_video_communications

Instagram post 2288265805005066265_2403080229 Today is One Boston Day, marking 7 years since the Boston Marathon bombing. We honor those who lost their lives on that tragic day, their families, and the survivors. We also remember the resilience and kindness Bostonians showed in the aftermath. Today, we are again coming together as one to fight yet another threat to our freedom. I was so proud then and I am so proud now to be a Bostonian. From every day citizens respecting the advisories and staying at home; our essential workers going out and keeping our economy going; our teachers plunging into distance learning to keep educating our students; our first responders and medical professionals, among them my own sister, battling Covid on the front lines; to our state and local government officials showing leadership when our federal government has failed to - marked by decisiveness, ingenuity, transparency and collaboration. We are One Boston. We are Boston Strong. This is our 🤬 city. And this is our world. So we are also looking out for our neighbors beyond our state borders. This is a fight we all must join as one to defeat. Today, we are all Patriots. 💛💙

Pictured: This is the last photo I took on April 15, 2013, at Fenway Park. We stopped to watch the runners go by just as we always would before the Sox game ended, and some time between walking from Beacon Street to the pub up over the Pike, the bombs went off. I have often wondered if any of these runners had arrived at the Finish Line by then. 😔

Instagram post 2286130892659373441_2403080229 Some things are constant.
The sun will rise,
And the moon will set.
The tide will come in,
And it will go out.
And what you thought was set in sand
Is washed away.
But come another day,
And what is left in its place,
Is a gift from the sea.

Happy Easter. ❤️ x, Lisa
